New Head FGC | Roster

Born and raised in sunny Southern California, Devyn “Akeno” Mendoza grew up playing Tekken 2. As time went on, they stopped playing fighting games—but Dragon Ball FighterZ was the first game that brought them back into fighting games.

With the release of Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, it is the first game they have ever competed in and they’re proud to be representing the New Head FGC team as a Competitor.

Akeno

A manatee, 23 years of age, born to a humble aggregation in a Floridian Estuary. Renown for his great girth, the young manatee was chosen by the elders to represent them the only way their culture allowed, fighting games.

Now partnered with the Secretary of Absolute Defense, Goldlewis Dickson, this Sea Cow embarks on a quest to the land of Guilty Gear -Strive- for fame, glory and prestige.

Hazen

Kermit is a Baiken player from Northern California.
Growing up in the early 2000s near an arcade that had titles like Street Fighter III: New Generation, Killer Instinct, and Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, he eventually found his way towards netcode-enabled emulators like Supercade and GGPO, playing 3rd Strike and Street Fighter Alpha 3. He started traveling to tournaments in 2014 for the tenth and final installment of Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament, before it was
replaced by its spiritual successor Combo Breaker the next year, and hasn't looked back ever since.

Happy Chaos main for New Head FGC, Mjkurase, preferring being called MJ, was born in Central Valley California. Starting with Mortal Kombat at the age of 14, he eventually started playing anime games with BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, as a beginner and eventually grew very competitive with the genre. Upon the announcement and eventual release of Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, it was the upcoming new anime title, MJ deciding to devote his entire rear end of high school and college life playing a lot of Guilty Gear as a Happy Chaos player. With the release of Season 3, MJ looks to the future with his brand-new Johnny and to improve to become better!

Pinhead

DMV Native Prada is one of NA's strongest Cagliostro players. Originally starting off with games like DBFZ and Guilty Gear Strive, she eventually found traction in GBVS, winning many online brackets as well as getting 2nd at CEOTAKU VII. She looks to keep it going with GBVSR.

Sgt. Frogger started with Strive when it first came out for Xbox, and played casually while waiting patiently for Elphelt's release. Since she dropped, they have been grinding to make their way to the top as the best Elphelt!

Born and raised in South Texas. Walter is proud to be an Ex-Smash Bros. player, formerly competing in all of the Smash Bros. games in the Texas area for many years. He loves to mix you up and not let you play the game~! He also loves Monster Hunter to death!
